WYD08 in Bungendore
Our mission is two fold: firstly to ensure that visiting pilgrims enjoy and benefit from a spiritual, cultural and social experience when they visit St Mary’s parish during the days in the diocese in July 2008 and secondly, to ensure that St Mary’s Parish is invigorated by hosting its international visitors and showcasing our community, our society, our culture and our spirituality to our international guests.
Our Goals
Hosting at least 100 international pilgrims between 9 – 14 July 2008 in St Mary’s parish,
Encourage and support young leaders from St Mary's Parish to plan and actively participate in WYD08 activities and events,
Promote WYD08 in Bungendore to the local community and to the rest of the world,
Raise the funds needed to ensure participation by the youth of the parish (and international pilgrims from regional countries),
Plan and conduct the Days in the Diocese activities during July 2008, and
Plan and conduct the visit by Cross and Icon to Bungendore on the morning of Wednesday 20 February 2008.
