Welcome to the website of St Mary’s Catholic Parish in Bungendore, New South Wales.
St Mary’s is a small but growing community located about 80 km to the east of Canberra - the national capital city of Australia. Members of St Mary’s Bungendore come from a diverse range of backgrounds. Being within an hour’s drive of Canberra and Queanbeyan many residents live in Bungendore and work in those nearby centres. There are many rural parishioners such as the Darmody and Reardon families being descendants of the original settlers. The new estate of Elmslea is adjacent to the town and is home to parishioners with young families. Mass is celebrated on Sunday mornings commencing at 8.30 am and visitors are most welcome. Mass is also celebrated at various times at other churches in the Parish – details can be found under the pages for each of the outlying churches.
Once a month, morning tea is served after mass on Sunday morning. It provides a great opportunity for parishioners to further bond the already obvious good spirit of our church community. Please come and join us.
